Using a HDRI skybox with certain rotation is linked to the Enscape visual settings.
If i want to do another view (and likelly rotate the skybox, to fit better on the view) then i need to create a new visual setting , per skybox rotation , per view.
The same way Enscape sky is linked to the saved view, could the skybox rotation also be linked to the view ?

Hi Frederico, thank you for reaching out.
Would you please elaborate on your workflow for me to understand the problem and situation better?
Why do you need to rotate the skybox for different views?

When designing a building, we create some camera views. When adjusting the skybox to have ideal light/sun towards the facade for 1 of the camera, then the majority of the cases the light conditions don’t work on other camera viewpoints.
Since the rotation of the skybox is linked to the visual settings of Enscape, then i have to duplicate the visual settings for each camera view and rotate the skybox to create the best light conditions to the project.
When using Enscape sky, each camera view have information about time of the day, linked. We change viewpoint and the light changes automatic.
Sometimes i end-up having 6 different Enscape visual settings (copied from each other) just with skybox rotation different between them. Would be good to avoid this.

Thank you for your answer.

Are you using “Brightest Point as Sun Direction”, because alternatively (as you would already know) you can change the sun position if that option is not enabled. In other words, in your case, changing the sun position is not sufficient, do I understand correct?

Yes, I’m using the “Brightest Point as sun direction” . This locks the HDRI “sun” to the enscape sun, so means when we rotate HDRI , the direct shadows follow accordingly. ( i believe this should always be by default)
Sometimes its a matter of rotating 5 or 10 degrees the HDRI …

I understand.
Isn’t deactivating brightest point option and changing the HDRI sun position via view solving your problem?

well, will be a bit strange to see the sun on the HDRI on front of the view , but the actual light coming from the back , with shadows ?!

Yeah sure, just wanted to make sure that if I understand correctly.
At this point let’s wait for some time if this is a common problem for others as well.
