it would be nice to have an option for Hdri to turn on and off invisible just like other Vray lights

Similar effect could be achieved using the Background mode (https://docs.chaos.com/display/LAV/Environment+Tab#EnvironmentTab-Background) by setting it from Same as environment to Solid color or Image
