Help:- budget around £1,000 for new PC

Hi everyone,

Recently, my manager gave me a budget of around £1,000 to buy a new PC tower this month. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to build my own PC, so I’ve been looking at pre-built PCs from UK retailers.

I’ve been searching around and I found this one from CCL: https://www.cclonline.com/amz-gam-core-a20-horizon-ryzen-5-rtx-5060-pre-built-gaming-pc-in-black/

It currently costs around £930 and has:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5500

  • Gigabyte A520M S2H AMD A520 Chipset

  • NVIDIA RTX 5060 8GB ( or i should go for 5060 Ti 8GB for £999.99)

  • 16GB DDR4 RAM (2X 8GB modules)

  • 1TB NVMe SSD

My main use will be 3ds Max 2027 and V-Ray 7, mainly for still-image rendering.

Do you think this PC would be good enough for 3ds Max 2027 + V-Ray 7, particularly for V-Ray rendering?

Or, with a budget of around £1,000, would there be a better pre-built PC that I should consider?

I’d really appreciate any advice or recommend find web link

Thanks!

Tell your boss if he/she really needs you to be productive he/shee needs to build you a decent work PC. I mean this is just scrapping the bottom. Yikes, I feel for you.

With the RAM, GPU, SSD price issues at the moment you are going to struggle in the extreme buying a prebuilt rendering workstation for that budget.

What is your current machine spec

Old current computer - AND Ryzen 3 2300X, 16GB ram, Radeon RX 570 series (8GB Vram). That is outdate computer at the moment.

Facebook Marketplace will be your friend.

Whether you are GPU rendering , CPU rendering or using CUDA/RTX makes a difference here too.

What do you use?

Mostly I used on CPU still rendering..
