So I keep running into this issue with various light fixtures when I’m using an IES file. Since the source in Enscape is apparently from a point (request 2 is to give diameter & length to IES files) any parts of the fixture will cast shadows. If I delete the part of the light that is casting the shadow, the shape of the light is correct. My request which others have noted before: Can we please have the option to hide objects from casting shadow in Enscape?
@andybot , I have more than gladly forwarded your requests - No ETA yet when it comes to either functionality I’m afraid, but our product management has been made aware further of the demand for these features.
Hi, is there any information on when this may be implemented? Currently this is a major hurdle to incorporating Enscape as a visualisation tool within Revit as a lighting designer - it creates areas of harsh shadows and renders some luminaires unusable. Thanks,
I also want to be able to stop an object from creating or excepting shadows. Has this been resolved yet, I can’t seem to find the option anywhere?
I do also feel the need for this feature. Meanwhile you can use self-illuminated materials. Not sure how but it would also be nice to have the possibility to have more options over this light materials with inclusion of IES data and other features…
Cheers
Hi @joo_mouro , please excuse me if you’ve already been made aware, perhaps multiple times, too, in the past, but in order for our product management to see and review requests like these, it’s always highly recommended and appreciated if you’re using our dedicated Ideas Portal as detailed here.
You can go into as much detail as you like and/or forward any other requests you have in mind. If you’ve already done so, you can ignore this message of course, but thank you in any case!
