Hotel, before and after

This is a visualisation project of a hotel’s convention centre and guest rooms that I did back in November 2002. Since then the building has actually been constructed. The following is a comparison of the images created back in 2002 and recent photos of the building (obviously the renders are on the left).

Any feedback is welcome.

The man in the left image is wearing a watch.

Excellent!! It is so rare to be able to see before and afters like this. The comparisons are uncanny. The colouring in both sets of images is surprisingly close and the only reason there is any difference at all is due to the actual size of the camera lens and (I’m sure) slight specification changes during the construction process.

Good job well done.

 Nice work, they are very similar!! You must be very pleased with yourself, well done

Thanks

In retrospect I would have liked to add some area shadows and ies lights to some of the scenes but I think it worked out pretty well. The client also found it pretty useful as a design tool, but yes, they made a few changes during the construction process.
