House: architecture views

Now i show a part of a work i done last week, i will post more images tomorrow when i were in the office, images need several changes (most done like sky and other small bugs but not rendered) Also i will try to make a test with caustics, they could be fine

about render times…less than a hour 2100x1575 in a p4 2.4

the AA artifacts and those things are resize problems and several post pro failures, i will post the final ones as soon i can

Very nice…especially the glass…care to let us know the settings?

Cheers

Neil

glass=90% white in refraction slot, 10% white in reflection slot, no fresnel, ior=1 affects shadows on, difusse colour almost black

It looks great- getting some fish-eye distortion to the left near the umbrella/railing in your first couple of images though. Love the water. If I can make a suggestion (and this is something which I see suprisingly all the time even amongst some fantastic artists)- turn on supersampling (use the max default 2.5) for your wood planks in your material slots. It will take care of the jaggies.

uhm…aa artifacts are for the image resize…

Looks great, I love the saturation, miss the caustics though

bahhhh damm i dont get a good look to the caustics, mainly for the light position i will try tomorrow anyway

Try this, make a direct light with hotspot/falloff the same size as the pool, turn of generate diffuse and only have generate causticsfor this light, maybe around 1000-1500 subs, in advanced light settings roll-out turn of diffuse, specular etc.

In caustics settings try:

Multiplier .75
Search Dist. 15.0
Max photons 25

I work in inches so your settings may be a bit different

Hi Victor, i’m a fans of ur artwork.
u said that the galss IOR u r using is 1, i think if the IOR 1, it will act like air. why did u use it, is it better than the real glass IOR?

 Nice stuff!

i use IOR 1 when i dont want any kind of refraction, such as simple glass

lol, i will try tomorrow
