How do I light with the SUN only but make shadows only with a defferent light?

Hi all

Well the subject says it all. I have a scene that needs to be lit by the sun. Then I have an object in my scene whereby I dont want the sun to give this object a shadow, but rather let a different light give this objects, shadow, but not light anything in the scene. Is this possible?

You would use “exclude” button on the different light sources to do that.

ehhh… maybe a bit to quick reply… I mean it should be that easy but I’ve never tried it to see if it works…
Edit: Hmm…just tried and it was not that easy…maybe render elements and different passes would be the trick.
