How do I save a floating point image with colour mapping applied (and extra channels?)
Using exponential mapping for interiors, love the look I am getting of my render in the VRAY frame buffer BUT I cannot find a method of getting this saved in float..
8 bit TGA saves correctly.
RPF/EXR in float saves as if I had hit “Don’t affect colors (adaptation only)” - not applying the color mapping.
If I use the VRAY Raw image file - to either vrimg or EXR - the colour mapping IS applied - BUT I lose floating point and z-buffer/material IDs etc
You’re not supposed to use gamma correction in 32bit (except in extreme situations). Set the gamma correction in VRay to 1.0 and use the sRGB button to preview if you use LWF. When using 32bit you save much more information then in 8bit so you get the same information you’d get when gamma correcting anyway.
