How to hire a 3d modeler

Hopefully this isnt too off topic.. if so please delete

I am looking to hire a SketchUp 3d modeler to model both interior scenes for home renovations and exterior scenes for landscaping / outdoor renovation jobs

looking to hire the modeling out and then finish the texturing & rendering in enscape myself

Would like to hire someone for ongoing work too not just a one time project

Does anyone here have experience in that? I looked into fiverr and upwork but i’m not sure those are what I’m looking for if I want long term

Any insight would help!

Thanks!

You could hire me

@renderwiz do you have a website or porfolio you could send me?

Sorry I was actually kidding (I should have been more obvious) but I do expect you will receive some actual offers from users here.

You could also post your request at https://forums.sketchup.com

For an ongoing working relationship, meeting someone in a forum setting (rather than Fiverr, etc) seems appropriate.

@renderwiz Yeah I guess I didn’t pick up on the sarcasm  .. thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Be sure to get a sample of their past 3D work and I don’t just mean finished renders, you need to get at least one of their SU models to see how they build, especially as you’re going to be then texturing/lighting/rendering yourself.

I’d also modify your initial post to state your location and requirements, for example, if you’re in the US I’d be useless to you as I neither work in ft/in nor do I know your basic std’s (floor/wall thicknesses etc)

Good luck

I wouldn’t discount the freelancer websites. When I first started out, I ended up building some key long-term client relationships off of single freelance jobs. I don’t know if guru.com is still a thing, but that’s where I was a decade ago. (Edit: it still exists and seems to be reasonably active.)
