Funny… I just downloaded a model, which was straight out of an Evermotion library; they didn’t even take the time to rename things.

I uploaded a few of my models there, they marked them as “free” quality when they are more advanced vs. 1/2 of what is “pro” quality. I emailed them to ask and they said some bs. I wanted to get “pro status” or whatever because then you can download free+pro models for free every day but I lost interest since they don’t have a actual list of what a free model is vs a pro model and just make it up as they go.

Great idea though, if there was a site where we could share models we have built but you had to upload a certain number of a certain quality (with actual written rules) that would be awesome. I know we have all made models that we couldn’t find, to be able to share them would be great. Even without textures would probably be fine for most of us.

Good idea, Jason. Make a site; some kind of CGI Trader site. However it might be hard to police. After all, I could just upload some Evermotion that I bought. I did a gym project and they provided me with almost every exercise equipment known to man; I could just share those, if I didn’t want to sleep at night.

Yea I think that is the hard part. Besides the lack of actual rules I like 3dsky although you mentioned that you downloaded some evermotion models off there, I am actually surprised that slipped through.

Too bad a few bad apples would ruin it for everyone.

A lot of the models, if not most of them, have textures from known libraries.
