Hi all, I have been using enscape with a huge revit model with a lot of links and I have had some performance issues and some enscape crashes ( reports send ).
First question is, is it better to keep the different files as links or bind the link to the file?
Other questions are about to improve the hardware…here my specifications

What do you think should I move to a better graphic card? I am thinking to change it with a Geforce RTX 3070 TI or Geforce RTX 3060 TI… 3080 is out of the budget. Will I notice the difference from what I have now?
What would be the perfect hardware configuration for a REVIT/ENSCAPE workstation below 3000€?

Large projects = lots of geometry, reflections, lights and materials. Real-time rendering is GPU intensive. Your graphic card may have sufficient processing and memory. But it was originally released back in ~2014. The 3070 RTX also has 8gb ram but should process frame rate, etc significantly faster.

It really depends on what the issue is you’re having when working with these huge models. Do you get these crashes when rendering high resolution images/panoramas/videos? In that case I assume (without having seen the feedback logs) it’s most likely an out of memory issue.
In that situation upgrading to a faster graphics card with the same amount of memory won’t bring you any further unfortunately. Interestingly there’s a RTX3060 model with 12GB of memory and another with 8GB. The one with 12GB uses a smaller memory interface, therefore the performance will not be as good, but if it’s about getting things to fit into memory is the main concern this could be an option. The 3070 comes only with 8GB unfortunately, I wouldn’t consider that in this case.
If the limit of 3000€ is not for a complete new system, but for a GPU replacement, you could of course have a look at the higher end range like the RTX 3090 with 24GB.

I have had both types of crashes, visualization and render ones.
I would say 3080 and 3090 are out of my budget, about the others which one should be better for revit/enscape.

My first question to you is which version of Enscape are you using?
We had similar issues with certain projects consistently crashing AFTER updating to the latest version (3.1.0+51825) of Enscape. After reverting back to 3.1.0+45914, it was fine…
