I don't always...

I am 100% certain I turned off that capability!!

Hahahahahahha XD

Well this is why u should set ur wind update to manual

Only logical solution. Dont sleep ever again.

Happens to me every month! it happened this morning, but fortunately, my render was done. i thought I turned of auto updates, but apparently, not!

Yeah, it’s happened to me too halfway through an animation…

Best regards,
Vlado

What gives Microsoft the right to do this? it’s absurd!

windows is evil this way. Thats why I always have autoupdate off, but its also dangerous.

Got bit again last night! Auto update off!!!

I still don’t understand how this happens? I’ve never had this happen to me. I’ve have a large renderfarm and many workstations and I have never had windows reboot a machine on me due to a windows update. I turn off auto update and set it to notify me when updates are available. I don’t recall windows ever turning auto update back on without my permission.

I think the phenomenon is triggered by the sound of snoring.

Hahahahaha…

Well, there’s the answer! I don’t snore! :stuck_out_tongue:

Rebooted by Microsoft last night, again! Missed deadline, again!!! And, it’s not patch Tuesday!

There is a little update icon that shows up on the taskbar when critical updates are waiting to be installed.

Never had Windows reboot for updating either. Weird phenomenon.

I just set it to tell me, but don’t install

I’m not sure where your problem lies, but I know that this has NEVER been a problem for me…EVER! There is a setting somewhere that you are missing and it’s causing windows update to reboot your computer.

OR, Maybe, possibly, the computer BSOD and then rebooted itself? Check your system logs to see what triggered the computer to reboot. This is the ONLY time my computer will reboot without my permission. (I’m kind of controlling like that! Haha)

I just Googled it and it’s not to uncommon.

For me the reboot has only occurred between one and three AM.

Will be worse in Windows 10, unless you have the pro version you can’t turn it off!
