I love Maxwell ;) 56k warning

I really really love Maxwell… cough cough

heheheheh

it got some attention over at their forum :stuck_out_tongue:

Two things to note.

1 - It is funny they post it as saying: “Some jealous Vray user” In no way does the image show a sign of jealousy. You are just jealous that you are bogged down by long render times? I don’t get it.
2 - SHAME ON YOU PAUL! Software wars are a bad thing. Maxwell is a great rendering engine that is just very young, and has not had the time to mature. Don’t pick on the young kid in town. That is like Vray being made fun of my Renderman. I could turn around and say… Feature films rendered primarily with renderman 10,000+ and primarily with Vray 0.

I agree, why all the fuss over software?

you could say that final destination was primarily rendered with vray

Actually it was Final Destination 2… and could you? Maybe, I’ll give you that. What they did do was well done, so if we give it to them that would be 10,000 to 1. Still have a lot of catching up to do.

I thought they only did the lumber truck wreck scene using vray? Did they also do other scenes with vray.

I bought the movie just for that reason.

Actually Renderman has existed for a lot longer then VRay, so that also has a lot to do with it. The bigger point would be that some companies have picked up VRay to use, at the very least, along side these other products that have been around a long time.

Not that I am really chiming in for or against Maxwel…dont’ really care either way.

I’m not saying “it’s bad” nor “this is good”…
Just kinda “freak idea”
I think I will continue to use bipedz, but in a more brutal way  And of course there should be some maxwell logo aound

Hi, buddy…

Have also on mind that this thread has been also submited in the
MAXWELL’s Forum…

Probably You already know that, just to say that…

I hope You are not CROSSED with some guys from the other side of the
Render River…

Wish You Nice Day and,

Nope. Will look at.

Edit - yap  I see…

Please consider that software development is what we do for a living. It may or may not matter to you as a user which 3d package/renderer etc. you are using, but it does matter to its developers. A program may be a toy for you to play in the free time, but it may be the hard job of someone else to code. Respect that.

Best regards,
Vlado

I respect that.
I like maxwell, i think it has its place.

Well said Vlado and cpnichols, I fully agree with you both.
