I need some opinion to improve my renders. To make more realistic.

hello. Can anyone send me some settings of enscape for more realist renders. Thnx

I don’t think there’s anything all that wrong with the setting, what you need to do to get better realism is to add some more small objects and add more variance to those you already have.

First off take a couple of those chairs and rotate and move them slightly, make it look like someone just sat there!

Then replace all the duplicate small objects like the wine bottles and vases with other small objects or at-least give them the same treatment as the chairs.

Finally i would add some more stuff to the empty shelfs, probably doesn’t need much.

When that’s done I promise you it will look an order of magnitude more realistic

The overall composition is good, it’s just the small details that might set it apart. As @Bobbechk already mentioned moving and rotating small things is a good way to achieve variance. Other than that I’d recommend replacing those vases, there are never four vases with the exact same branch in them. Throw some kitchen utensils around. Make it look more “lived in” - give those chairs bit of a scratched reflection map, maybe even the floor as well. Add some baseboards/skirtings to mask or embellish the transition from wall to floor.

Try some enviromental storytelling. Imagine the person this kitchen belongs to: What are the they like, what do they like to do? Do they prefer mediterranean cuisine (plop down a potted basil or sth like that) or are they more into mexican food? Let your imagination and your knowledge about that person influence your choice of props for this setting. Whenever I prepare presentations for our clients I listen carefully to whatever details they give me about their surroundings and themselves. Do they have kids? Do the have a pet? Do they have a very specific hobby that I’d like to incorporate into the pictures? Even if I just see them wear brown shoes I might put some of those near the wardrobe.

As I said: It’s just the small details.

Good suggestions already above!

Another thing you could try is play with the roughness settings of your materials - some of them still appear quite matte. There’s basically no completely rough/matte material in real-life except for maybe rubber or similar. Also roughness maps with little inperfections can add a lot of realism to your visualization.

Here’re some good examples on that matter: About the channel map

And now…

Nice improvements.

What I find stands out, is the gray cupboard. I would expect it to be glossy… But assuming that is should be mate, mate wood paint would generally still have a sheen. Try reducing the roughness a bit. I am thinking along these lines:

The black surface could get the same treatment, but they works as is, since there exist slate kitchen fixtures:

If that is the intended look, go with it.
