I’m trying to realize a render like the first image appear in the www.chaoticdimension.com
I like the schematic style… even if there is something realistic!
(Do you understand me? Maybe I’m not able to explain my idea…
Could you advice me? I’m not a genius with vray but I know it well.
Is these settings hard?
th rendering on their front page seems pretty simple…mostly plain colors and boxes with some transparency applyed to them, simple glass…the water seems like a stainless steel mat or similar…
it’s starting to look like the one on the chaos page…I like the water, although it could be a little more transparent and reflective…right now it’s missing the specular highlights it would get from the sun…also your buiding looks completly white…don’t know if that’s intended…but it’s kinda distracting.
maybe your glass could be a little less blue and more reflective as well…use a sky HDRI in the overide relfection slot in the environemnt rollout for vray…that should give you some interesting relfections
> Yes, I’m missing the specular highlights but I can’t find the option
setting the material. It’s no strandard material, but VRAYmat. Where is
this option?
> About the texture of my construction I tryied to put same texture but
the angle of camera doesn’t permit to see it good… How can I do?
> To illuminating I’m using a freeDIRECT (0,8multip-vrayshadow),
GI turn on… standerd vray enveroniment turn on. Maybe I need something else?
your lighting seems a bit flat…maybe you can diversify the textures colors you use for the buildings in the background versus the ground and main building textures…right now they all kinda blend in…so it feels kinda flat.
if you look at the rendering on the chaos site, you’ll see that their ground is a dark grey and their background buildings are a very light and transparent blue…that creates a more interesting contrast and variety of materials/colors.
as for the water…it needs some work on the reflections and colors…I would build part of the underlieing basin below the water, and make it more transparent and relfective…that blue tone is quite distracting.
here’s a pretty good tread about creating water…someone even posted their water material for download:
nice!!..it’s coming along really well.
I like the lighting and the compositing w/ the background image…the only thing that you might need to work on is the color of the water…it still looks “flat”…pretty much the same every where…there needs to be more variation in the blue and probably stronger relfections/speculars…
see my link above for an example of water you could use…
Sorry, I now, that it is no related to render but:
compare size of your people, witch create scale of your part, and, for example, size of balcony on the nearest building on foto. looks like people (1,8m) are smaler then balkony (cca 1m?)
Similar problem is scale of stone block… compare to people, some stone size biger then 3m?..
yes VLADOS… you have reason!
But that was just an experiment to try the illumination and the mix between my render and photo… anyway thanx… today I’ll work with!!!
