I want to make it more realsitic

Hello, i was wondering how can i make my renders more realistic with enscape ? all materials are from megascans and assets from enscape library

@Ahmed_Sabrah , I hope it’s okay that I’ve moved your post into the Work in Progress section, it should be a better fit in here.

Furthermore, definitely check out this great Blog post here when it comes to improving building facades. The materials and model already look rather decent in my opinion, but you can also now play with different times of day, and make sure that your camera is well aligned as detailed in the Blog article.

Before that, you may wanna check out some of my thoughts:

You may perhaps also add a few more trees with different variety, and the houses left and right to your main building look a little bit plain so to speak. If there is a way to replace them with something that looks a bit more interesting to the eye, then that would surely help with the impression overall. Speaking of plain, the balconies and curtains, all in all, look pretty much the same on the left and right side - On the middle-right side, in this case, the curtains are a bit more open compared to the middle-left side but, they all look the same in their respective column. I would thus perhaps even open/remove some of them so that you could see inside (albeit you may want to add a few assets in there then). Additionally, you may wanna perhaps add more Assets and thus detail to what is placed on the balconies. To inspire you a bit further, check out this example here, to see what could be done plants/decoration-wise and how much detail is generated this way. If possible, you may also want to zoom back a bit and show the street as well, so that the car is not cut off and you can add even more detail this way to the street too with some fallen leaves, or general imperfections to the road as seen in the example as well.

Last but not least, feel free to generally re-try some other perspectives at different times of day if you like, for example during night time or close to night time you could play around with lighting as well to give the scene a different feeling.

Example from the blog post:

In this case, a dedicated HDRI file has been used for the skybox as well, plus all kinds of different lights, some with IES profiles as also detailed in the blog article linked.

If you have any further questions regarding any of these topics mentioned, let me know.

This is actually good results for a full sun rendering, and typically what can be expected from Enscape “out of the box”.

I would start with the following, in order:

  1. find a rendering (or photo) you like and use it as a reference.

  2. start without textures at all (only color and value) and get the overall look you want first, then add textures. Megascans can’t make it look good if the colors and values are incorrect. Adjust material color and value to create the desired look. You will likely need to edit the color and value of your textures…finding the perfect texture is very rare.

  3. post production in photoshop (additional contrast, saturation, etc)

Thank you all for the insights and advice I will be back to you for what I’ve reached

Hello again, @Demian_Gutberlet , @renderwiz

After listening to your notes and advice i’ve rendered these 3 images the first 2 images are with the same HDRI

the 3rd is little different . i want to finish up my morning shots then i will start working on my dusk/dawn with some lighting shots

What can i do to improve the renders more ?

@Ahmed_Sabrah , I really like the added buildings left and right, plus there is definitely more variety in the scene and the overall project just looks more interesting to my eyes! Alongside, I have to say that I’m not a fan of the big puddle you placed - I’m glad you put in the effort and gave it a try but, check out this video here or my FAQ post from a while ago here where it’s explained in further detail how to more realistically create a wet road / puddled road effect.

Also, I’d switch to our Two-Point perspective mode and use the perspective/view from the first rendering you shared (or additionally perhaps the frontal view you shared in the new Showcase thread). While the other perspectives are interesting when it comes to showing the road effects, they cut off the main building (Which should be fine though once the road looks a bit more realistic) - In that first view, perhaps I’d zoom out a tiny bit more as well so that the main building has a bit more air up top and is thus more the main focus point. From there on I’d play with the time of day and export a variety of renderings from this particular scene, either using our built-in sky or HDRI files like seen here (as you’ve done before of course). His renderings show well how much of an effect a different sky/HDRI/time of day really has on the mood and outcome while the view/perspective stays the same.

@Demian_Gutberlet I will definitely try all that thank you so much for your reply sand advices
