well, i took the gamble and installed beta 2. so far i’m liking what i see (FINALLY - tabs in IE)
now it seems on par with firefox.
I agree, I’ve installed it and like it. Haven’t quite switched over from firefox but I may. I like a lot of the plugins that have been created for FF but lately the security patches ( seems firefox is not immune after all 
) have broken many of those.
the ‘recent pages’ is good. now i may have to take the plunge and put XP SP2 on the laptop.
ah, google calendar doesn’t work with ie7 yet :?

I had the small issue of having to completely re-install and re-authorise windows (the phone support is really quite helpful you know) when I did my laptop but everything runs oh-so-sweet now.

I’m wondering why you still trust MS and especaly IE?
We know from the past that MS was and is willing to fight against the webstandards which now start to come back with FF, opera, safari and which is good!
I’m pretty sure, we will see another desert on the web very soon when IE7 will be shipped with vista in a nonuninstallable way or come with an forced patchday.

Both Netscape and IE were both pushing items which were browser specific - in some cases leading to innovation. But none I can think of off the top of my head lol. :lol:
strike that, yes it does.
There also used to be certain issues with updating antivirus engines particularly mcafee and also windows defender auto updates but this may have been resolved now. I like it too and am running it along side firefox.

… wow that’s amazing… I just read this thread and now I have IE7… cool… I like it 
well, i’m still using firefox. ie7 needs to make all the toolbars customisable, and the FF bookmarks toolbar folder is hard to give up.
i take it you can uninstall if all goes tits up?
i hope so. it hasn’t yet but if it does i’ll let you know.
I uninstalled it at work, some problem with active-x and my time card wouldn’t work, I almost didn’t get paid
IE6 automatically reappeared no problems going back, microsoft did a much better job here with IE than a while back with Media Player 10
