IES Light

Hello everybody,

why can´t i change intensity or multiplier of IESlight? THX

Re: IES Light

You should be able too…I’ve told Joe a number of times but for some reason it still isn’t in there…It looks like I’ll be bugging him today ;D

Re: IES Light

why should it be? The purpose of IES light is to be able to reproduce the exact intensity and luminosity the manufacturer choose…
If it is not bright enough, may be use a higher intensity light.

Or is there something I don’t understand?

Re: IES Light

AFAIK the primary goal of IES lighting is for accurate light distribution. There is intensity data that goes along with that, but there should still be ability to adjust the base intensity. So far, I haven’t found anything specifically that says that you shouldn’t be able to adjust it.

Here’s a good tutorial that I found in my search a while back

Also here is the IES viewer that is referenced in the tut (not a very “official” page, but thats it)

Re: IES Light

Damien, please ask Joe for the texture control of the sphere light for IBL too. What is IBL without “I”?
