Ignore viewport lighting?

I’ve been using Solaris and one thing that really bugs me is that the the viewport rendering changes when I disable the viewport high quality lighting. For example if you switch to headlamp mode it removes all the lights I’ve created for the render.

The reason I do this, is because it’s easier to place lights while I can see my scene. So I usually split my viewport to into 2 windows 1 is camera view with live rendering and the other is just the scene viewport unrendered where I can move around the scene and adjust lighting positions. The problem is the scene is so dark when I se it to “realistic lighting”

Is there a way to detach the viewport preview from the render preview including the lighting checkbox and material checkbox?

Hi @chadstevens Thank you for contacting us!

Could you please share the scene so I can investigate the issue on your set-up?

Does it happen in this scene specifically, or in every scene?

What’s the exact V-Ray for Houdini ( V-Ray > About V-Ray ) and Houdini version ( Help > About Houdini ) that you are using?
