Implement EXE siging

Dear enscape,

To make the world a more secure place it would be practical to implement EXE signing.

Most of the next gen AV’s are flagging your “standalone Executable” as malicious.

The only way to make sure this software runs is by path exclusion which isn’t very secure.

This way it would be too easy for employees to run a malicious modified exe sent from an external company using your software.

@geralt , welcome to our Forum, and thanks a lot for your inquiry.

This has been requested quite a lot of times over the years, but ultimately we want to instead provide a dedicated launcher for example which would open/excute these standalone files. Nothing is really quite certain yet in that aspect, but your Feedback will certainly also be forwarded to product management to further state the demand for such an implementation in general.

Demian, has there been any further development with this. As we begin to make our own, internal networks more resilient and secure we’re running into more and more issues with unsigned enscape executables. Not only will they not be allowed to run on our own machines, but client machines as well. This effectively removes this feature and one of Enscapes selling points.
