I think this has been mentioned before (sorry but I couldn’t find it)

But is there any way we can import VRay 3D Studio Max materials into V4R??

The reason I’m asking is that I’ve come across this VRay material website that has some stunning materials and I’d love to get to use them!! :shock:

What do you think - Any chance??? :wink: :wink:

We’ve tossed around this idea. I think the other thread was in the FAQ. There are certain constructs that we don’t support in VfR that are supported in V-Ray for Max and vice versa- so there is no guarantee that such a converter will work 100%.

We’ll keep you all posted on the progress of this idea.

I have to say I really enjoy ALL aspects of Vray so far BUT lack of shaders…

Based on everyone’s reaction in the two threads on this topic ( see also Chaos: Industry-leading design and visualization software ) I suppose we should seriously consider this.
