Hello,
It would be amazing if you could start including access to Chaos Cosmos in the V-Ray SDK.
Many users in V-Ray for FormZ are waiting for Cosmos access, but until it is included in the SDK used by the developers, we do not have access.
Thank you for your hard work.
Hello,
Thank you for your request — it’s a very valid point.
Just to clarify: are you looking for access to the assets, materials, and HDRIs available in Cosmos, or for an API that would allow you to store and manage your own assets and materials?
Regarding the first option, unfortunately, due to legal constraints, most of the assets and materials you see in Cosmos cannot be offered to all V-Ray AppSDK users. However, we are preparing a set of around 100 custom assets that will be available to all AppSDK users in the upcoming versions.
That said, I will double-check the license agreements V-Ray for FormZ has and let you know whether full access to all Cosmos 3D content can be granted.
Best regards,
Violeta

Hello,
Yes, we are looking for access to the assets, materials, and HDRIs available in Cosmos.
I understand that some may not be available but if we could have close to the same assets VRay for SketchUp has, that would be ideal.
It would also be great if the LightGen was also available in the SDK.
Thank you.
Hello,
Apologies for the delayed reply. I’ve reviewed your contract along with the legal requirements for our Cosmos assets and materials, and unfortunately, we’re unable to share the majority of Cosmos assets, HDRIs, and materials with App SDK clients due to legal restrictions.
The good news is that a small selection of assets can be shared with App SDK users, and they will be included in the V-Ray App SDK v7.30 release in a few months. If you need access to them sooner, please don’t hesitate to contact me at violeta.petrova@chaos.com , and I’ll be happy to provide them directly.
Regarding LightGen — this is a custom implementation developed for our AEC products and is not part of the V-Ray App SDK. It’s a separate Node.js-based module. However, if you contact me by email, I can look further into what components we might be able to provide, keeping in mind that it won’t be an out-of-the-box solution and is available only in JavaScript.
Best regards,
Violeta
