Hi,
Having sent an irradiance map for rendering every 10th frame through backburner to a single machine with a network licence, the resulting frames from the saved irradiance map are incorrect, with some blotches and discolouring. The frames rendered whilst creating the map however are fine.
The images below show the problem. The top image was rendered during the IR map calculation, the second one was rendered from the saved IR map.
the irmap was saved across the network, and appears to be fine, but when rendering from it, we get the results seen in the bottom image. The map appears to be corrupt in some way, but we can’t figure out why.
Yes, it’s what we’d expect for a 500 frame shot - about 40mb in size. We’ve since checked that all the machines are mapped correctly across the network, and after rendering it again on a different node, it seems to be fine. So I’m guessing it’s a network issue that may have corrupted the original irmap in some way. Hopefully it won’t occur again.
Thanks for showing an interest and trying to help, it’s much appreciated.
