Insufficient ceiling shadows from cabinets

I don’t know if I’m having a mixed perspective but I feel like there should be a bit more ceiling shadows. I’m focusing here on the hanging cabinets. I have the sense that there should be more darkened areas which would be better for depth perception

Lighting: IES - shaped without direct lighting on the ceiling, conic towards the ground

HDR: regular Clear sky

@benjaminriendeau The hanging cabinet seems to be floating slightly underneath the ceiling. Is it connected to the ceiling in your model?

It is, but I guess I need to get better a lighting idk

@benjaminriendeau Is it possible for you to share the project file with us via ?

This is where an AO slider would come in handy. It would anchor objects better instead of looking floaty.

@vjaramillo_cg , be assured that your voice has already added an upvote to the corresponding ambient occlusion feature request.

@benjaminriendeau , to assist you further, it would be very helpful if you could send in the project, if that is possible of course. Thank you in advance!

Will do @Demian_Gutberlet , I am busy transfering computers and server so… I’m just running short on everything but if I don’t, keep reminding me sorry

You might remember there used to be an AO slider for the early version of Enscape (1.X) but they removed it from the Settings page
