First, let me say, I love the work you are doing. Keep up the great work.
I’ve created lots of doors in Sketchup that can be opened with the “Interact” tool. I often find myself opening and closing doors to show a person in VR what the space looks like with the doors open or closed. It would be great to interact with this ability in Sketchup within VR. I looked for this feature in previous threads, but didn’t find it. Am I the first one?
Hey @shoogydoo , thanks for your post and welcome to our forum.
The ability to interact with your Model in VR is a topic already on our agenda, since it has been requested before. Through your voice I’ve gladly added a further upvote to it. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
+1 for Interactive objects and interactive lights!
A bit related to this, is the following: I noticed in your Enscape EXE example i could walk through the frontdoor allthough it didn’t open. Is this a revit feature? Can you define elements that are not obstructive?
if i may add one more vote for interactive elements
just using for my personal project and will finish it this year hopefully, however when i run into more advanced model with lights / doors and more details in kitchen (e.g.) then i definetely need this
have been investigating another option allowing me to do this and found SimLab, however, there is a ‘huge’ amount of work to do, to migrate .. and the interactivity with model changes will suffer too.. , so the enscape3d with even simplest interaction will be the master of the universe
I believe I have voted for this already but just to make sure, it’s got my vote! As a custom cabinet shop, this feature would go such a long way for us.
