what is your setting for displacement? did you put reflection on the carpet material? or was it the effect of sunlight? it looks like plastic straws.

Wow…great image ;D
I notice some crop circles (wall) though deriving from the post processing in Pshop (.jpg artifacts).
You can use a subtle ‘surface blur’ filter on those parts to solve it.
Displacement really looks good on that carpet…I would love to learn how it is done.

its very nice rendering
can you teach us how u did the carpet? displacement works fine for me but when adding a new shape displacement to the other oject jsut dissappear.
