interior space progress

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice on how to light this space properly. Right now I have a dome light with a hdri and sunlight. I also have skylights in the windows.

The scene just feels very dark to me and not very lively. There is no lighting inside the space, and I haven’t done any comp work on it yet.

I was thinking of changing the exposure on the camera?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Alex

I would add a background to help as you’re lighting

Yes for sure. I am going to do that in PS.

I’d redo the lighting and just use a vray sun for now - get some light coming into the space. And then work it up from there if you need to. Add the different render channels and make sure things are acting accordingly. Is the glass shader ok? Maybe render without glass to see what that does.

How are the foreground chairs being lit if there’s no interior lighting?

Thanks Brendan.

The glass shader is good. I can try rendering with out it to see what that does. Just bye the hdri.

It looks like the light is somehow coming from below, which makes the illumination look unnatural. Maybe the HDRI is not oriented in the best way…

Best regards,
Vlado

too many lights,
try with just one of your 3 different lights!

turn up the intensity, check your white materials, use the frame buffer exposure, white balance and burn to control it the look quickly

i hate scenes with 875 different external lights sources. start simple is my advice!
