Has anyone noticed that when you view an image in Internet Explorer it looks completely different to when it is opened in Photoshop? I have tried all sorts of colour settings in Photoshop, but I can’t get the image to look the same.
A colleague is using Firefox and images look the same as in Photoshop!
I can’t find any settings in Internet Explorer which effect this.
Is it just me???
maybe its his colour mode of the image, i.e cmyk or rgb

This is any old image on the internet though. For example, do a search in Google for ‘american cherry’. For a given image, it looks totally different in Internet Explorer (more saturated and ‘richer’) than when that same image is dragged into Photoshop or viewed in Firefox. In other words, it appears MSIE is doing something to the colours of images.

I know, I know! Its just that I’ve always said “Why bother with Firefox? IOts bound to cause compatability problems!” etc etc.
Just trying to save face!
maybe it’s NOT doing something (embedded colorprofile ? sRGB vs. different colourspaces) PNG seems to make a lot of color troubles in IE, was it a png ?

why bother with Internet Explorer?
the only thing i can say is make sure ps is set to SRGB. I have no idea why just IE is effected though
