Hey

I had a few questions regarding the vray environment fog,

First I cant get it to work with the IPR, I read a few posts saying that it should be working now. I am using 4.02.04 with max 2019.

Also second more general question, when i use a map in the fog density it slows down a lot. from 40 seconds to 8 mins. I am not sure what are the settings I should be focusing on. I am playing around with step sizes and max steps at the moment.

IPR support will be implemented in the first update of V-Ray Next.

For textured fog, the parameter that influences the render speed is the “step size”. There is more information here:
