Hello, I’m working with an instructor who would like to use Enscape in their course for teaching Interior Architecture to undergraduates. I saw that there were floating classroom licenses available through an application process and I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone for the last 2 months to no avail. I’ve got two cases open and have sent reply emails to each more than a few times and have yet to get a reply back.
The first support case was opened in September, I did get a message back including an attachment for a non-commercial software license agreement that required a signature. Unfortunately we have policies that require our lawyers to overlook any of this in case something needs to be adjusted, this took about a month and I sent back a response with notes about the license agreement hoping to open a dialogue. There was no response to that, and the subsequent emails I’ve sent asking about it haven’t been replied to.
I opened a second case (using the same email) on December 1st in case the first one was lost asking the same question again about some particular items in the service agreement. It’s only been a week for this second case but I’m not sure what else to do at this point besides sending emails into the void.
I’m not exactly thrilled to complain on a community forum like this but there are no other avenues for communication as far as I’m aware. Are there other IT professionals representing universities here? What was your experience like in getting educational licensing? To be honest I’m not familiar with this company or software, the instructor seems keen on it but I can’t support installing trial versions twice a year
