Issues when rendering

I

I keep having the same issues when rendering. it’s a new issue.
As attached the render turns dark.
I don’t think it is a memory issue, as I have 128 , a 4090 card.
Is there a setting I am hitting to make this happen.
Odd one. CPU ONLY…?
Help would be appreciated.
Phil

I don’t understand what the issue is. Could you clarify? A comparison with the expected result will help (and also the scene in question).

Well I would show you but now after updating top the latest version I have a “verify your licence issue”…One thing after another…and dealines at 2pm.

Try the suggestions from this article.

No, none of that worked. Can i get an support answer Please, As I have deadline, I have ticket number, but this is urgent.
Ticket number 420553

Thank you

Everytime , there is an deadline, some "Thing " like this happens.

Will tell the Tech Support to take a look.

Thank you , i appreciate it.

Thank you Bano got the licence issue sorted.
Thank you. That other issue with the render is still happening. very odd, the GPU is fine and CPU is not. it usually the other way round when it comes to rendering memory issues.

Glad the licensing issues are solved. Let’s continue: please send the scene so we can take a look. And include some screenshots and videos of the issue and the desired result.

Good morning. I have the same issue again when rendering , attached cpu, and gpu version of thew same render. I have turned off the trees car and people, just encase.
I rest the render setting also, so i am stumped, not a big either.

Are you using a corona color correct with your environment map by any chance? I have noticed differences between IPR and prod. renderer when this is the case. Perhaps it’s related?

No, I dodn;t think you can do that , can you , once in the vray enviroment , its all Vray or nothing..

It’s hard to tell you what’s going on without the scene. Please, send it.

File sent in. Thank you

It’s caused by the Logarithmic Exposure Control (which usually produces greyish results) in the Environment and Effects settings, which seems to affect the VRayCamera (which has its own camera exposure). Either disable it or switch to VRay Exposure Control (with Neutral WB similar to your camera) so that you have identical results both through the camera and the viewport.

I think I get it, thank you , Odd, for the first time in years I have too many setting to play with and they are cancelling each other out.
Thank you

Phil

I am still having that issue.
I know you explained it, but I still can’t get it to work correctly.
Why has it happened all of sudden to the vray settings. Has something been added to the setting that was not there before.
I have never come across it before?
Thank you
Philip

It’s just a double Exposure Control - one from the VRayCamera and one from the Environment and Effects settings. Sync those settings and you’ll get identical results. Maybe you’ve used a max physical camera? Autodesk has solved this by linking the two settings together (so that you can’t have both at the same time).
