I have several Clipmap png trees that I use as Face-me billboards in Sketchup. I use a black and white alpha mask for transparency and I’ve double checked and the white is 255 255 255 white and the black is 0 0 0 black. My issue is when I bring this into the transparency slot in the material the “White” area turns slightly grey in the editor. This causes some issues as it is not longer 100% transparent. Is there something that I’m missing?

Re: Issues with transparency maps
Are you have a reflection layer for the material? If yes, you have to apply the same alpha mask on the reflection layer. If the reflection layer have a Fresnel effect, you have to apply the mask on the parallel color mapping “m”. You have to invert the map for the reflection.
Re: Issues with transparency maps
Thanks for the tips but unfortunately all I have is a single diffuse layer.
