Starting a small personal project over Christmas, I set out to create plan drawings using Layout by SketchUp. No textures or materials to worry about as renders were not the goal. Only intending to detail a familar chapel doorway, it grew to a much bigger project and once my Layouts were complete, I thought why not see what Enscape makes of it! Here are just a few images.
Wow, wow … am speechless, ![]()
Amazing! The best work I have seen with sketchup and Enscape
Thank you. Here is the latest image as the model begins to get bigger. TV/Film sets have to make the most of their resources so elements have to be recycled as much as possible. Here, components from the main chapel have been used to create the connecting corridor and will eventuallay lead to the main staircase.
I love SketchUp but Enscape has made creating images like these so easy, it is a crime not to use it! lol
wonderful mood
Thank you for allowing us to look into your work
Someone needs to be a bit more careful with the vacuum cleaner ?
Very cool!
This rabbit hole that I just recently fell into reminds me of the set designer luke Whitelock who uses sketchup (and components and groups) extensively for set design
That looks insane! Good on ya!
Yes, I’ve known Luke for a few years now and he is an inspiration in a lot of my work. This actually started out with me modelling the castle he designed for Malecifent 2 but I could’nt post anything I’d created due to copyright issues (someday maybe!). Instead, I ripped it up and used the idea for this design. The Chapel has now been extended again to include an internal courtyard entrance. There is more on my Instagram feed @ryan_boundy_design
 Yes, also for me an outstanding work here! The renderings are great but actually your section- and view drawings above impress me even more!
…and what’s on the drawing board now.
these drawings are perfect! all worth framing and hanging on the wall !!!
(PS: if all this is any set design please keep us updated for which kind of film or show etc. if or as soon as possible)
