I’m working on a scene, decided to give Corona a shot.
This is the main prop (you can’t eat it, it’s just pixels ).

I think that any kind of real jam should be less refractive, darker, and probably SSS should be involved.

I agree.
But this ain’t Granny’s jam! This is the one you can find in Tesco…colored sweet jelly-ish something…

Nice subject, I think the glass is more dominant.
Have a look at this pic, you cans see how the glass catch the reflection.
The jam looks a little flat try to work on the SSS material and a darker tone probably.
