Just thought it would be nice to do something away from buildings. I’m also busy with the animation, but that’ll still be sometime before it’s complete.
For the whole thing, I use Max 5, took about 8 minutes to render a frame. VRay worked brilliantly, ultra fast compared to Brazil (and far less complicated), and also alot quicker with better quality results than Max’s standard Skylight.. I’m going to also soon delve into the great wide world of HDRI… Should be cool.
Let me know what you think, and what I can improve on.
For most of the car except for the main components I used Spline Modeling (surface/patchs), but for the smaller components like the steering wheel and small aero-dynamic parts I used normal mesh.
Unfortunatly I couldn’t find any nice, new and up-to-date plans of the Jordan, so I went onto the Formula 1 and Jordan sites to get pics of their latest cars… took quite abit of time ( about a month during lunch breaks ).
As for the the texturing, I used a UWV unwrap on the main body. For some of the materials I had to find some good hi-res materials. Someties I couldn’t so it was into freehand to make some up. And thats about it…
