So I have been busy with the Coronator course and these are my test renders.
My scene is based on the completed project by Steven Leung. http://www.steveleung.com/index.php?r=pages/director&top=1&mid=7&id=1
Their studio produces absolutely stunning interior designs. Attention do detail and finish is second to non.
This is purely a case study on materials, lighting, rendering and post production. If you have any queries or question please ask.
Would just like to thank Nguyen Ba Dung. He is a master and a fantastic teacher. I would recommend his course with out a doubt.
Here are some final testing visuals. Will post the build up.
Started with the dominant materials first.
Floors, Ceilings and timber cladding.
PBR is great. Used a scratch bitmap on the glossiness channel. Left ior @ 1.52
Could of layered the materials to add more depth but was happy with results.
Thanks for confirming my hunch.
Nice works, tho shows an inclination to the vray style.
// Ah, checked your page… yup, unmistakeably VRay
Hope you’ll keep growing strong with what Corona offers.
Just a note. Large & repeating surfaces are a bit too perfect and in unison (clean and sharp) so if you are to include more surface details, bits of uniqness (natural imperfections) might be easier for you to reach the ambiance of a living space, higher level of realism… if that’s what you’re after.
