just looking for some critiques on the lighting so far

just took a break from working and decided to work on an image from a residential project just completed. any comments and suggestions are apreciated. really just a model of the bathroom itself, no real furnishings and stuff yet, wanted to really work on the lighting. used environment, and free area light in place of the vray light since i only have vray basic
the settings used are very low just for time sake
im so impatient. heheheh

thanks in advanced

one more thing
i used all the lowest settings,
seems that the higher the value i use for the free area light, the better the image, but its up at like 8500, and onscreen it looks dark, and also i didnt use a shadow for the free area point light, becuase when i do i throws some pretty weird shadows. any suggestions are appreciated

I think it looks great so far. The problem in with the shadows may be that those lights aren’t supported by VRay. Only shadows I’ve read recommended for use with VRay are VRayShadows and Shadow map.

the material is not good enough.
wall and floor looks flat. Maybe you have to put some lights which will make the scence lighter.
