I’ve been tinkering around with the new material editor and had some fun results in this particular scene. Thought I would share my results, both what came out of Enscape and with a bit of Photoshop added. You can really get a lot more out of the image with the new material editor.
Nice! What are the material settings for the snow?
Here’s the actual walk through:
If anybody with a GTX1050/1050ti could give this a go and let me know how the quality is I would appreciate it. I’m running dual 1080ti’s so sometimes things are very smooth for me, but chug on other machines.
@Simon_Weinberger , It would be really nice to eventually get this baked and set up for web-based walk-through I’m not sure if its in development yet or not, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. I’ve been playing with Shapespark lately and they have been doing something similar:

Its not as robust as Enscape, but I’m getting more and more client requests for things that can be shared online or embedded in a website, and its a really big gap between speed and ease of use for software that can do that.
Thanks!!
You can vote at our trello board https://trello.com/c/XQ6zu81q/93-export-to-mobile-and-web for a mobile solution.
@Simon_Weinberger , Its got my up-vote! Thanks, I hadn’t noticed it was in the backlog for development. That’s great news!
I’m running on a P5000 on my desktop and it’s smooth like butter! Very nice job, what material did you use for the metal framed windows out of interest?
This gets my up vote too, it would be ideal for us to host this on the web.
Great to hear! That p5000 is a beast too, should be able to handle just about anything you throw at it.
The metal framed windows are a few from the V-Ray material pack if I remember correctly. Its a mix of the attached textures, but don’t ask me how i mixed them, because I honestly don’t remember at this point.
Ah ok, the metal looks spot on!
Thanks @DanS_1 http://www.poliigon.com has a ton of great materials as well!
Wow yeah it does thanks Ted!
