Just upgraded to win 7 and cant install any macro to max 2011

I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate edition today.
I installed 3dsmax and Vray and wanted to install some of the scripts and macro scripts.
But I either get error messages or nothing happens.
When I tried to copy mcr file into Maxroot/UI/Macros folder, they were not recognised too.
Anyone has an idea to help me?

Do you think this is about the permisions and security settings in windows 7?
Well I am not a advanced user about these things and just don’t know what to do now.

it’s your permissions, is this your home machine? If so just go to the max folder and right click on it and turn off the read only check box so you can write files into the folders you need to.

I can’t make files read-only.
After I make, when I re-open properties, I see that they are still read-only.
