texturing help

This is amazing stuff.

I find my HUGE downfall is texturing. Using multiple maps in creating single textures…etc. This image brings me to a question: Does anyone have any tutorial links in creating texturing like this? One of the biggest problems as well is tiling. It would seam procedural shaders would be the go, but I find more tuts out there creating larger image maps.

Ive done the basic tut’s of 3dcafe and others, but cant find a huge amount of them. Thanks for any help!

Arkitect and Yoyoboy all textures are painted in Photoshop, in MAX just bitmap difuse map and bitmap bump map. Just a unique map for wall, see an example:
