I love enscape but I’m continually forced to drag models into Lumion because the plant library is so much better. I’ve been using enscape for years and it still does not have a multistem birch tree. This is like in the top-3 most popular trees that clients want in their renderings. How is it not available in enscape yet? Same with shrubs, selection is so sparse that is forces me to go to Lumion. It would be much easier to make the case to my office that we should be using enscape if the plant library were better.
If they want to compete with assets they either need to charge more, or have subscription tiers, I think corporate clients would be willing to pay more if they could get more useful assets in one place. Then devote a team to just cranking out assets.
I quite frequently have to deal with enterprise customers. I always get the impression paying more is not something that is often requested ?
But on a more serious note , more plants are always welcome. I think one of the things that is always hard to do is fulfil the needs of every geographical location.
On this forum alone you’ll see users asking for plants specific to their locations and they can range from Palm Trees , Aloe plants to Oak trees.
on the plus side, enscape offers a way of importing external models in - so If you can do without trees that sway in the wind there are lots of resources , both paid and free.

I understand it is not ideal, but as Adam mentioned, you can always use our Custom Asset Library as well.
Additionally, you can always share your feedback directly with our product management team here. Simply click the “Submit Idea” button at the top right, and enter your feature request/asset request there.
In the Portal, you can also see which features are currently being developed, and vote on features we are currently considering. For a more detailed overview, check out this post in our Forum.
Not to mention different seasons and different growth stages…

Enscape’s strength has always been real-time rendering with a seamless interface to the host app and a direct link into VR, which was years ahead of other packages. While they certainly could broaden some of the asset basics, they can’t/don’t really compete with companies who have been developing plant libraries for decades. If your focus is on landscape design, you probably need to be looking at other packages, or put the time into finding and building out your own custom library.
Due to the ease of getting good results, Enscape has taken an outsize chunk of the still rendering market when that was not really their primary focus. The VRay merger was a step in addressing that, but it will take time to see dividends.
