Lake Home

As usual any comment and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

1st one is very nice…dont like so much the 2nd…
pay attencion to the green on the tree in the foregound! is way too saturated in comparision to the rest!

I like the lighting on the second image. The roof and stonework looks a bit flat to me, have you used any displacement or bump on these?

Lake Home

I like the second better too… I didn’t use diplacement because of time issues. I am sure the client will come back with tweaks and for the final image I’ll spend more time with materials and more time in post. Some of the trees are post and some are in the model. For the final I’ll use all proxy trees so they are all the same. Does anybody have a good resource for VRAY cars? I want a couple good cars that are VRAY ready.

I use 3d cars from www.sugar3d.com a lot. The ones we have come in low, medium and high res and work really well with vray, although occasionally the material on the hubcaps can cause white blobs on renders.

Great Start. Looking forward to see how this one developes.

Cars: DOSCH DESIGN 3D-Products, 3D-Services
I don’t think their VRAY ready though.

Prefer the first to, better lighting IMHO.

Same here - Your lighting is getting really good over the past while!

looking good, Would like to see some refelections of the glass in the 2nd image. Grass is nice and maybe a more promintent wood texture over the BBQ area, have you tried vray disp on the stone walls?

Tom

Looking good Bobby…I also like the first one…better lighting…But the client would probably like the second…Heck…I mostly give the clients more views than they pay for anyways..lolKeep it up

Lake Home Update

The client hasn’t commented yet, but here are some updates per the suggestion of this forum. thanks…

i think your earlier images were better.
The trees are too saturated

The driveway looks better in these…But there is something about the green hue of the first that is getting me…But’s it late and I need some sleep…LOL
Desaturate those trees man..

Take some greenness from the trees and put it on the grass
The grass doesnt look very inviting at the moment IMO

Ugh!

I like some of the first and some of the second… to be fair I did the second set accross a VPN and it looked much better on my screen at home. I think if I use the tweaks in the model of the second one and render it on the machine I am looking at it will work.

Question: any need for the vray dome light with a HDRI since we now have vraysun/sky?

Re: Ugh!

Control, variation, and more freedom.
So yes.

hey, looks like frankie boy is en vogue again

dome light

Are you using the vray sun with your dome light?

Re: dome light

I’m not, not sure if you can - I use the sun for quick tests and to see variation without needing to do much work then replace it with a HDRI/vray light setup for a bit more control.

Bobby,

Have you mapped your trees and shrubs with bit maps?
