Laubwerks

I knew about them but I didn’t know how good they were. Maybe because they don’t show up in searches or their site doesn’t do a good job explaining, but I can imagine using it often.

Oh yeah, I love Laubwerks - the ability to change the tree’s age, size, season etc - great stuff

Reminds me of a software I purchased about 6 years ago, which never worked. I got sales calls almost everyday for months and then once I paid the $1500 and found the software didn’t work and I couldn’t get anyone to return a call. That was when I stopped investing in Plugins unless they were proven to work and have good support. Bionics or something like that.

Bionatics;)

Yep, that was it. (Bionatics)

Laubwerk player can do some stuff. But the models itself, especialy materials was terrible. Dont know if they change them over the years.

The reason I wasn’t excited about them, even when I thought that they were just models, was their website examples were not very good. However, the one I just used looks good.

Could you share a render example where you used it recently?

Bobby,

Are the background pines 3D models? I need some good ones (nigra/mugo) urgently.

No, that is a site photo.

These are pretty good :

Yes, I have those and they are pretty good. My favorite are there: https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/Trees\_Sculptor

Actually palm in the middle looks really good. Is this from set 7?

Yes, plant kit 7. I purchased it for that one tree.

 Looks really great. I think best of all. The one on the right seems weird. Like you would add it in PS. Probably leaf material, seems like transparent.

Yes, I agree. I will remove it, but the client didn’t say anything about it. They have since asked me to do the back of the house, so I’ll send them the front without that right tree.

My favorite feature of the Laubwerks plugin is the ability to reduce the amount of foliage!! A big plus when the clients wants a more transparent tree.

A bit off topic, but what did you use to light that? One of Peter Guthrie’s HDRIs?
Looks really nice

I use HDRI’s from https://hdri-locations.com/
