i have always used some dummy settings i found on a forum for irradiance settings. i am having quality problems now, and am not sure what setting i need to tweak in order to fix them. i would do this by trial and error, but the render times tend to be long, so if someone could give me an idea of which setting to start tweaking first, it would be appreciated…
try to increase the Interp. samples to about 60 (u can use a saved irrad map)
try to increase AA: adaptive threshold 0.01
in my experience it was never a good idea to boost up the First/Second bounce multipliers in version 1.09. it takes longer to render and can cause artefakts. use colormapping instead. or save unclamped in hdr/rpf/exr format and adjust brightness/contrast in post.
