Here are some shots of the simple cottage I modelled after some reference photos I found, done in my spare time, hope you like it. All 3d, Sketchup+Vray4SU. Re: Lecht cottage by Moxon Architects The landscape is fantastic! The rocks are very well done! I’m nitpicking here, but my main issues are: The gable could be slightly improved. Maybe add a bump/displacement map to the texture. Or perhaps model the texture to the edges of the gable a little bit so that it looks more like stone. Personally, I would have a darker texture for the door. I think it will better contrast the lightness of the glass. Maybe a PP on the trees and a slight Gaussian blur with a soft light blending on a separate layer? Overall, brilliant! ---

Re: Lecht cottage by Moxon Architects Thanks for the comments 🙂 the rock models and textures are from archexteriors vol. 2 scene 5. (they were spreaded around using “spray comp” rb) @stevbo : I was trying to mimic the real thing, that’s why I used those textures, but I’m doing another render with some tweaks (I will include your sugestions) stay tuned 🙂 ---

Re: Lecht cottage by Moxon Architects \*updated Nice render update! But I also think the glass lets it down, unless it really is a smoked glass you are after you need to change your settings. A nice transparent glass will still reflect your surroundings nicely aswell as letting us the viewer see the interior. P.S. I found the tree on the right in google warehouse, but not the tree on the left - do you know the name of the file, or the author? Many thanks. ---

Re: Lecht cottage by Moxon Architects \*updated nice images mate. Maybe try the Arch glass in the materials downloads and remove the coulur form the diffuse, and make it a bit more transparent. Where do you get all your textures from they are very impressive. It is very similar to a max render. you should post some of your textures.
