License problem with newly bought V-Ray archviz collection

The support page is just giving me a 404 so I’m trying the forums instead.

Just purchased the V-Ray Archviz collection with Vantage and Phoenix, but can’t get the license to work.

I get this when starting 3ds Max. I press “Sign in” but I’m not taken to any other software or web page so I have no idea where to sign in to. I’m signed into the web page where it says “Avalible” on all my licenses. I’ve tried the “Start Chaos Licensing” and “Start Chaos Unified Login” apps, but nothing happens when starting them up other than a CMD window opens up and closes.

I’m a freelancer so earlier, when I need to use the V-Ray license of the company I’m currently working for, I manually change the Chaos license IP to the company’s license server, but change it back to 127.0.0.1 when I’m done. I’m guessing that could mess with this. But there’s still no way to sign in there.

Hey,

Follow the link in my signature and submit a support ticket so we can investigate this in more detail.

I’d love to, but you don’t have a signature?

Hi,

This is odd, I am seeing the page differently

Maybe refresh the page, try another browser or clear your cache&cookies.

Anyway. here is the link - https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thanks, I tried it in Google Chrome and it worked. Not so much in Microsoft Edge. The support page also seems to be broken in Edge, with the “AI help button” blinking away in the corner before it gives me a 404 error after a couple of seconds.

Edit: I’ve managed to submit a ticket now.

I have the same problem for 2 days and chaos hasn’t responded to anything, i have no license, and unable to work. Dear chaos please do something about this, Your licensing is causing many delays and unwanted disruption to our workplace. We have tried reinstalling the chaos license server with no avail despite paying for the chaos archviz vray collection. Seriously response times need to be faster! Request #435969

What made it work for me was starting Vantage from Windows, not from 3ds Max. Then I got the same pop-up telling me to sign in, but this time it took me to the proper sign in page.
