License server problems

I have a problem that came up suddenly.
I have installed the latest versions of vray for 3dmax, wibukey 6.40 and
the server license 4.4.1

The dongle is recognized by the wibukey software but will not let me enter
the // localhost: 22347 / # / firstRun

I see that in the services the VRLserver starts and stops only constantly.
That should be the problem and I do not know how to solve it.

I do not have antivirus
Windows 8.1

This was working earlier.

Can you check whether the port of the license server is being used by another application

Hi and Thanks for help.
How can i do that.

Thabks

Try changing the port of the license server to something different. In the start menu, type Change V-Ray license settings
This will open a window like this:

The default settings are:
License server: 127.0.0.1
Connection port: 30304

Thanks for reply.

I try now.

It seems that your dongle server keeps resetting. Please contact support@chaosgroup.com for further assistance.

Thanks for the reply.

I do not think it logical what you tell me since it worked well. Why should I fail now?

Why in one of the teams takes the dongle well and another not?
If I install the old license system works perfect. There are no problems.

It is not a physical problem given the tests I have performed using the old license method.

Check the dongle with the software of weibu key to see possible errors and everything is going well.

Why the license web say this Failed to read certificate. (ENOENT: no such file or directory, open ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ssl\cert.crt’)

“Failed to read certificate. (ENOENT: no such file or directory, open ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ssl\cert.crt’)” indicates that Online licensing is not enabled - hence there is no certificate to read. The error can also appear when the activation process is still pending. If you acknowledge the message it shouldn’t appear anymore.

Regarding the problems with the dongle - is it possible that there are different driver versions on the computers. The new license server versions (4.x.x) do not work well with older drivers - I’d recommend using at least version 6.32 (the driver version can be seen in Control Panel->WibuKey->“About” tab).

You can try running manually only the dongle license server process on the problem computer to see if you’ll get a popup error indicating a certain problem - C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\VRLService\OLS\bin → “startvrlservice.exe” (VRLService in Windows’ services must be stopped before you try to start it manually).
