We’re trying to get excited about the Light Management features but they’re still a little clunky. There seems to be a bug where as soon as a custom Light Preset is enabled it’s either resetting the dimensions of linear lighting, or perhaps flipping the width and the length? Seems to be an issue with 4.17 and 4.18 builds at least, and I’ve just tested on the 4.18.2 LTS version too.
See attached sequence of screenshots showing:
- two rectangular light sources at ceiling level in Revit, one is 1200mm, one is 1000mm
- view from Enscape by default, the light lengths appear to render correctly
- as soon as a new Lighting Preset is selected/created, the light sources change shape. Bringing up the edit menu though shows the lights are still reporting as 1200/1000mm x 50mm
- Curiously, it seems as if Enscape is interpreting the values in opposite order if a Preset is active? Because manually editing the width to 1200mm seems to return the light to the original appearance
Obviously none of the lights should be changing appearance unless specifically overridden and a project wide ‘reset’ of all light sizes is a bit of a disaster. Having to manually swap the dimension values over isn’t a viable work around.
Is this a known bug?
