Light View - Best Practices or Tutorial?

I’m trying to use the Light View mode to evaluate additional skylights, but I’m struggling a bit. I get a nice colored view, but when I look around, the scene continues to update (like when I look towards windows, then away from them). Is that as expected?

Is the LUX bar continually adjusting it’s scale based on where I look?

If so, do you have recommendations on how to understand the scale better? Like when the min. is 73, then when I look a different direction, and the min. is 400.

Are there any tutorials, blogs, or best practices available for review?

Thanks in advance!

I ask me this question too some months before as a client ask me for a light view tool and I come to my personal conclusion - it’s a forgotten feature, it’s only toy anymore.

Here an old thread to this topic:

Light simulation?

I think you have to de-activate all the “Auto” adjustments for it to give you any relevant visuals. Then play with the global “Artificial light brightness” from the advanced tab.
