Hi,
I’m very interested in testing this new service and have a few questions whilst waiting for the sales team to get back to me.
How is the tiling of the scan materials tha are returned? The examples on the website seem like small patches, it would be interesting to see what happens at the seams.
How does this method deal with displacement or is the returned material entirely normal based. In addition would there be a detailed displacement map available like surface mimic?
Thanks a lot, really interesting move.

Thank you for explaining your process a little better for us.
I thought this may be the case with displacement.
One more thing, in the 3 cylindrical examples on the website there is a difference in glossiness between the samples and the renders. Is this a problem with the scne lighting being off? The highlight on the black leather also seems to go a little strange.
Thanks again!
it’s possible to be a scene problem, but in general the scanned material is of course not perfect.
the demand of this service was started by customers that can’t achieve even approximate representation of some complex materials used in their production, they were just unable to get satisfying result using the conventional tools.
our solution is not perfect, but we cover wide range of materials that are practically inaccessible by a conventional material setup.
